Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead epidermal skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from your face. Also called microplaning or blading, dermaplaning gently decongests by removing debri built up on the skin, revealing a smoother, softer, even appearance and texture.

Dermaplaning can also be used in conjunction with other advanced skin treatments, peels and LED multi light therapies allowing deeper penetration of products and peels.

The exfoliating depth and effect of dermaplaning reduces the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, while stimulating cell repair and regeneration.

Dermaplaning provides a deeper exfoliation than microdermabrasion, targeting and removing the epidermal skin cells.

Dermaplaning is the perfect way to remove fine vellus hair (peach fuzz)  from your face.  We recommend dermaplaning for vellus hair every 4 weeks.

It is normal after a dermaplaning  treatment for your skin to feel tighter, appear reddened with some mild flaking.  These are all positive signs the treatment was effective.

As with all medical grade skin treatments or products, a dermaplaning treatment impairs the skin barrier making your skin  more sun sensitive.  We recommend avoiding sun exposure for 48hrs and at all times wear a quality SPF 50+.   We also recommend avoiding  exercise for 24hrs and delay recommencing  your active skin care products for approximately 72hrs.

Dermplaning is NOT suitable for clients with active pustular acne, rosacea, those taking some acne or blood thinning medication, sunburn, hyperpigmentation or active cold sores.
